Filters are stupid.
Especially for commonly used words like swears.
It's fine for ironically used slang like "tbh fam" or "ayy" but censoring 'a bundle of sticks' when its appended to a lot of words, i.e. California Roll or waifuRainbow Roll or whatever, just disrupts discussion because everyone forgets.
What's the point of censorship anyway? Don't say that it's for mature, civil discussion. Swearing has its use when applied lightly, the only discussion with no bad words is at the kid's table.

How big do you rolls think Sushichan should optimally grow? At what point do you think the quality of the boards will begin to suffer?
From what I've seen, this site averages 3-4 posts a day. I don't know the actual hitcount, but my idea I think would be to see each active thread get that many posts in a day. I think if we pass that tipping point though, we'll see a spike in people just here to shitpost, even away from /hell/.
I'm not basing this on any metrics/data, this is just a hunch from the other small chans I've frequented before. I really like the chill, friendly vibe of this place and I'm worried it'll get lost if it grows too big.
What do you think, fellow sushi rolls? -

What's the point of having a Japanese sounding name for your imageboard if you don't even have an /a/ or /jp/ board? I remember you faggots use to have an anime board a few months ago. Why'd you git rid of it? Why would you keep your /v/ and /g/ instead? -

Over the Summer, SushiChan has increased in average by roughly 8 times the traffic in only a span of a season (there was over 800,000 hits in September alone). Our little SushiChan is growing up, and we're blitzing ahead into a sushi-filled future, but we're missing something: a mascot. We need a masthead to stand out as our own; something to signify and personify this site as a whole.
At it's inception, I had picked offhandedly Yumi from Umihara Kawase, a character from a Japanese release Super Famicom game in which you catch fish. Being a video game character, a fisherman, and kawaii uguu~, she seemed to fit the bill for an imageboard that is founded on sushi & Japanese culture, comfiness (look up the original Umihara Kawase soundtrack), and to a degree, technology.
What do you, the sushi rolls, feel? Who do you think fits the bill as mascot of SushiChan? Discuss! :DDD -

Itamae, it's important that, once you tie up all the stuff you're doing write now, you make a list of the sort of content that is encouraged on all the boards. You should make a site directory that records all the rules. I would suggest that you do not make a sticky that consumes the front page of all the boards, as that hogs estate and diverts attention from new, active threads.
