There's a quiet coffee shop near me that hasn't been infiltrated by hipsters: the bane of all coffee shops. It's 5 minutes walk from my house and is a nice place to get out of the stuffy house, flirt with the cute barista, and just kinda sit in the corner and watch people walk up and down the main street of town outside while reading a book.

Yeah, I like the library or bookshop too. But what really irks my dad and me is that my bookshop has tried to turn the upper floor into a semi-cafe, semi-normal bookshop. They've removed whole shelves and sections so that they can have more tables and chairs. It's a disaster.

Nevertheless, I sometimes like to sit and read the introductions of lots of books, to see what I should read. Despite the cafe, it's still relatively quiet and I enjoy my time there.

There is a library down my street so I usually bring my laptop there and sot in the back (as self defeating as that sounds).

I need to get a library card. There are so many nice libraries in my city.

I work better in loud environments though. Something about the background noise helps me focus in on my work. Mall food courts are good spots for this, plus it gives me an excuse to eat junk food.

Not really, because there are no places that are worth staying in near me and I feel kind of weird being on imageboards in public; you never know what might pop up. Although when I worked the Sturgis rally I went to a small coffee shop every night in order to play kantai collection. I certainly got some looks when people walked past while snooping at my screen, those fucking Rainbow Rolls.
