Caspar David Friedrich - Der Nachmittag (the afternoon)
Andrew Wyeth - Christina's World
I was about to post that one too and then I saw your post. It really is a nice painting, it looks more like a photo in the sense of capturing the moment.
To any anons who love art, I want to ask:
How do you get into it? I would love to explore all kinds of art and find artists I love but I guess besides buying a textbook, I don't know what to do. I was taking a Khan Academy course on art for a while, but like so many things in my life, I never finished…
First, know what types of mediums are there.
Second, explore them and find the artist name to the piece you like and search up their biography and work.
Third, find some books showing the works of these artist.
It's really simple, Anon.
I remember seeing a picture of this in an old sci-fi magazine my mom always got. It was a puzzle you could buy and she pointed out different proverbs. I like the painting a lot.
The last painting I really liked is (pic related) pandora from thomas kennington.>>56
I love Klimt's paintings.>>8

Breughel is also cool>>63
So many things about this…
the amount of effort that went into it, all while knowing what the finished product would be
the world's most elaborate shitpost
Oops. The eagle on the shield doesn't actually have two heads. But still, it's called the Reichsadler and can be depicted with two heads.
Austria and Russia featured double-headed eagles in their heraldry so they probably wanted to make Germany's eagle distinct from those two empires.
